History: Daisy G. Cushing, Supreme Inspector, presided at the Instituting of El Campo Assembly on October 23, 1931. Wharton Assembly #89 initiated 33 girls. Elizabeth Dickinson was installed as the first Worthy Advisor and Mrs. Bettye Barnes as the Mother Advisor.
El Campo's first initiation was January 8, 1932. A charter was applied for after an inspection by Mrs. Dorothy Brain, Grand Executive Board, on May 25, 1932. The charter was presented on September 15, 1932 and they became El Campo Assembly #94. - El Campo Assembly #94 has initiated 744 girls. 168 Worthy Advisors have presided with 27 Mother Advisors. El Campo has been honored to have had 42 Grand Appointments, the first being Elizabeth Dickinson, Grand Religion, in 1932. The Assembly is especially proud of their two Past Grand Worthy Advisors.

Carolyn served as Acting Supreme Patriotism at the 1976 Supreme Assembly in Anaheim, California. El Campo has had the honor of having Dagny Hogan elected as Grand Recorder and Lehia Corwin elected as Grand Faith in recent years. El Campo Assembly has taken part in the- Instituting of several area assemblies The Assembly has been involved in many charitable projects over the years. The girls began saving stamps in 1952 and "bundles of ten in 1959. They have collected aluminum cans for the Battleship Texas. The girls have helped with the American Legion Auxiliary's poppy sale. They have helped the Shriners collect money for crippled children and have sold tickets to the Shrine Minstrel Show. Many years El Campo Assembly collected food,. clothes or toys for the needy. The girls donated Easter eggs to Meadow Lane School for 28 years. El Campo Rainbow Girls have also collected money for cancer and Muscular Dystrophy research. They have visited nursing homes and Masonic and Eastern Star shut- ins.
During the years of W.W.11, El Campo Assembly worked hard to keep the home fires burning. The girls sold war bonds and helped with the Masonic Service Association Drive to aid Masonic welfare work for the U. S. Armed Forces. They rolled bandages and had afghan making parties. The girls sent left-over clothing from their rummage sales overseas to aid displaced persons.
The El Campo Assembly has had many fund-raisers over the years, as well as many socials. During the 30's picnics, hayrides and bay parties seemed to be the favorites. The 40's and 50's had many banquets and dances. The 60's and 70's seemed to bring scavenger hunts, bay parties, hobo parties, progressive dinners and slumber parties. The 80's and 90's have had more slumber parties and swim parties. For several years in the early 50's Founder's Day was observed with a sunrise breakfast beginning at 5:30. On September 16, 1997 El Campo celebrated the 65th Anniversary of the presentation of the charter. El Campo has been very fortunate to have had three Grand Visitors from our assembly over the years. Mrs. Eva Longwood, Mrs. Dale Hester and Mrs. Nora Hogan have given their time, energy and love to keep El Campo Assembly #94 strong and productive.
